About Chiddingfold Golf
We have made significant changes at Chiddingfold to improve the player experience, including the transformation of the course to 12 holes, as well as a full refurbishment of the clubhouse.
12 Hole Golf
We will also be converting the current 18th hole into a five-hole academy course and the 17th hole will become an all-weather practice range.
This is obviously a major change for all our regular supporters but we hope you will come and visit to give it a try.
12 holes fits in extremely well and more or less follows the original course with some really interesting changes and avoids the serious hills around the finish of the course. The opportunity to play 12,18, 24 or even 36 holes will be an option.
Why 12 holes?
We are not the first 12-hole course. The British Open was originally played at Prestwick over a 12-hole course designed by Old Tom Morris! In fact, the great Jack Nicklaus has recently opened a 12-hole course in America to encourage new players who maybe don’t always have 4 hours to spare!

The new 12-hole format still provides great value and lots of opportunities for society golf. The 19th Hole hospitality will be better than ever with the best chefs and new menus.
Our philosophy
Our philosophy is a long way from the traditional golf club model, with our focus being on having fun with great value and hospitality with no captain, committees, or unnecessary rules.
Jack Leask is our Operations Manager and first point of contact. Scott Brown will be focussed on the new academy and driving range offering lessons to players of all standards.

New for 2024 is a much-needed addition at Chiddingfold with an all-weather teeing ground and lessons available from Scott Brown, our popular professional.
Elevate your game
The Academy 5-hole short course is the perfect location to learn and improve your golf.
Everyone is welcome, from complete beginners through to star performers with regular taster days and family/junior clinics on offer.
The academy course is being constructed to USGA standards, and will include the former 17th and 18th greens with a projected opening of mid-April, 2024.

Probably the most popular addition to Chiddingfold over the past few years has been our Sports Bar.
Relax and unwind…
With a big screen TV, guests can watch the best live sport from around the world, and enjoy a hearty breakfast for those arriving early, and a great range of freshly-prepared dishes from the kitchen all day.
The terrace overlooking the course is the perfect place to be anytime time of day with our mouthwatering tapas and pizza menu served into the evening throughout the summer months.
