Everything you need for your
The festive season is fast approaching and Cowdray Farm Shop has everything you need to celebrate in style.
The turkeys are sourced from Essex based Great Garnetts whose traditional bronze turkeys are reared in a free-range environment to give a delicious flavour and succulent texture. The turkey is delicious roasted, served with homemade Cowdray chipolatas and our honey glazed ham. The team on the butchery are on hand to help you with your Christmas order. Pick up an order form from the counter in due course.
The Cowdray bakers are busy making Christmas Cakes which you can decorate yourself or pick up a pre-decorated cake covered in seasonal colourful dried fruit and nuts. Cowdray mince pies are highly sort after, and this year a lattice tart will be available, adding to the mincemeat range. This is delicious served warm with double cream.
The Deli counter is considered to have the finest range of cheese in the area with seasonal favourites such as Colston Bassett Shropshire blue and the French Cheese Comté. Deli Supervisor Ginny and her team of Deli Assistants are passionate about cheese. They are on hand to discuss your Christmas cheese choices with you to ensure that you have the finest selection tailored to your tastes on your cheese boards this Christmas. Pre-ordering is also available.
Cowdray’s two main cheese suppliers Neal’s Yard Dairy and Beillevaire attended our Christmas Tasting Weekend on Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December. This was the perfect opportunity for visitors to taste some Christmas favourites such as Colston Bassett Stilton, loved for its creaminess, fruity and floral notes, Baron Bigod as well as farmhouse cheddars, Brie de Meaux and Gruyere.
Christmas Trees will be on sale at the front of the shop from the week commencing 18th November. Locally based Santa Fir who supply the trees have won many awards including a special award for services to the British Christmas Tree Growing Industry. The Nordman Fir trees have a lovely shape and excellent needle retaining properties.
