Cowdray hamper raises funds for school

Cowdray hamper raises money for Easebourne Primary School

Johnny Culley, the Headmaster of Easebourne Primary School (pictured left), and Rupert Titchmarsh, General Manager of the Cowdray Farm Shop & Café, drew the winning ticket for a hamper worth £100 which was donated by Cowdray on Tuesday, 2nd July.

The school children also helped to pack bags at the Summer Tasting Weekend which took place at the Cowdray Farm Shop & Café on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June to celebrate the shop’s 10th anniversary.

The raffle ticket sales and the children’s bag packing efforts managed to raise £360 for Easebourne Primary School. Undeterred by the heat, pupils also gave a wonderful display of country dancing at the Summer Tasting Weekend.

Rupert Titchmarsh, General Manager of the Farm Shop & Café, said: “Thank you to Easebourne School for their participation in the Summer Tasting Weekend. This is the third time they have been involved in our tasting days.

“Thank you to all our suppliers, many of whom are local businesses, who attended the event and gave visitors the chance to try delicious food and drink, and to the Farm Shop & Café team who worked so hard to make the weekend such a success.”

Johnny Culley, Headmaster of Easebourne Primary School, said: “Thank you to the Cowdray Farm Shop & Café for providing the fantastic hamper with all proceeds from ticket sales raising money for the school.

“We were delighted to be part of the Cowdray Farm Shop’s Summer Tasting Weekend. The children very much enjoyed country dancing and were also excited to be helping shoppers pack their bags.”

The winner of the raffle prize has been contacted.
