Cowdray Run 2016

Cowdray’s first running event is a great success!

Cowdray Heritage was the venue for the inaugural Cowdray 5k and 10k run yesterday. Just under 200 runners took part, with the majority choosing to run the longer distance. The 5k was won by Justin Eggins in a time of 20 minutes 20 seconds, while Mike Houston won the 10k in a time of 38 minutes. Both run with Chichester Runners. All participants were presented with a Cowdray race medal on completion of their race.

Organised by Sally Guile of Cowdray Heritage and Jason Rae, a specialist running race organiser, they were ably supported by a team of volunteer marshalls and helpers. Following the race runners enjoyed a Cowdray burger, served by Emma and Kate from the Cowdray burger van.
