Introduction to becoming a counsellor
This morning workshop aims to offer an insight into the various training routes and requirements when considering training to become a counsellor. We will be looking at common mental health problems and how counselling can have a positive impact. We will talk about the various jobs available for qualified practitioners and consider what it is like to ‘do the job’.
This is an interactive workshop, and there will be an opportunity to take part in experiential exercises to get a feel for what training is like in the classroom.

About your Trainer
Vivienne Richardson Bsc (Hons), PGCE, MBACP (Reg)
Vivienne graduated from Roehampton University in 2005 as an Integrative Counsellor. Since graduating, Vivienne has worked with many different client groups in the public and private sector and is currently working in private practice at Cowdray Therapy Rooms, Midhurst, West Sussex. In addition to her counselling qualifications, Vivienne is a qualified teacher and trainer and is the founder of West Sussex Counselling Training.
