Five Day Workshop -Dutch still Life Painting Techniques of the 17th Century
During this workshop students will explore the traditional painting materials and techniques used by the Dutch masters of the 17th Century. Students will be guided through the various stages of the work as practiced by artists of this period. The workshop is designed for students of all levels of experience, from beginners to professional artists.
David Cranswick is artist in residence at Cowdray Studio, Cowdray House. David trained at the Royal Academy of Arts, London. In 1999 David received a doctoral degree for practical research into the traditional painting materials and techniques practiced by master painters from 13th to 17th centuries. David lectures at the Princes School of Traditional Arts, London within the M.A. and PhD departments. David is a professional painter and has been painting for over thirty years.
The cost for the 5 day workshop is £385 and includes materials. Places are limited to 10 students.
