Yoga partnership Laura and Nigel run yoga retreats in beautiful locations around the country. With over twenty years’ experience in the field of personal change and wellbeing, they’ve founded several programs aimed at helping individuals discover their true nature. Now we are delighted to let you know that they have designed bespoke Seasonal Yoga workshops for Cowdray Hall where together they will facilitate a safe, warm and welcoming retreat space as a haven for those needing time to reflect. These workshops will offer you an opportunity for gentle spiritual growth whilst allowing time to align with the natural vitality all around us.

What is Seasonal Yoga?

Seasonal Yoga is inspired by ancient Chinese and Indian health systems and is a gentle practice for all abilities specifically designed to send energy flowing through the meridian lines (energy pathways of the body). From a physical view point the practice re-vitalizes our systems and organs which have energies corresponding to different seasons of the year, putting the mind and body where it is supposed to be, in harmony with nature. By making Seasonal Yoga and mindfulness an integral part of our lives we will be protecting our health and enhancing our energy. With the rising dependency adults and young people have on fast-paced technology we need to counterbalance this with education of nature’s timings, rhythms and natural cycles.

We are a part of nature, so to continually work against these natural rhythms can create both stress, disease or indicate that we are out of balance. Practicing Seasonal Yoga on a regular basis improves flexibility, balance and physical strength. It helps people to control and manage own energy levels and also improves physical and mental awareness.

What is Shamanism?

Shamanism is all about working with nature and the seasons. We utilise the energy field that pervades all things in a way that disregards linear time and seeks to regain information and insight, harnessing the ability to span time, to gain meaning to our spirits and hearts purpose.

Nature is communicating with us on many levels in a very real way, in both a physical level and a cellular level. The energy emanating from all things, originating from the light of the sun, is available for us to work with. We ask for blessings by the energy of the four winds, the great spirit, and mother earth, then using natural relaxation methods and drumming, we can take you on a magical journey, where you may meet your power animals who could give you inspirations and insight into many aspects of your life, both this life, past lives and even future lives.

Two Day Retreat

This beautiful two-day wellbeing retreat offers time for self-reflection, soul healing, Seasonal yoga and mindfulness combined with Shamanic healing approaches.

Programme:

Saturday

9:00am: Meet at Cowdray Hall for opening circle, refreshments and introduction to seasonal yoga

9:45am: Seasonal Yoga and meditation: session 1

10:45: Refreshments

11:15: Introduction to shamanism and creating sacred space

12:30: Vegetarian lunch included

13:30: Seasonal Yoga Nidra (Deep relaxation)

14:30: Walk to local woods

15:00: Seasonal Yoga and meditation: session 2

16:00: Shamanic journey

17:00: Grounding, chat, closing ceremony and refreshments before you leave

Sunday

9:30am: Check in and feedback on day 1

9:45am: Seasonal Yoga and meditation: session 2

10:45: Refreshments

11:15: Further talk on shamanism

12:30: Vegetarian lunch included

13:30: Seasonal Yoga Nidra ( Deep relaxation)

14:30: Walk to local woods

15:00: Seasonal Yoga and meditation: session 3

16:00: Shamanic journey to meet our spirit animal

17:00: Grounding, chat, closing ceremony and refreshments before you leave

Cowdray Golf Lodge is conveniently located within easy walking distance of Cowdray Hall and Therapy Rooms where the retreat is taking place, and includes bed and breakfast.
