Free Guided Walk on Ambersham Common
Cowdray Forest Manager, Richard Everett, and Independent Heathland Consultant, Dan Cornell, will lead a FREE guided walk on Ambersham Common on Saturday 31st August 2019.
Time: 9.30am to 12pm
Meeting point: Ambersham Common
This event is free, however places are limited so do book a ticket in advance to avoid disappointment.
Richard and Dan will take the group across Ambersham and Heyshott Commons and the surrounding woodland sharing their knowledge of this nationally important wildlife site. They will look at how the woods and heaths are managed to provide habitats for some of the countries rarest birds and reptiles and discuss the work that is needed to keep the site in prime condition.
All are welcome. The walk will not be too strenuous but will be across rough terrain so suitable clothes and footwear will be required. Dogs are welcome on leads.
The meeting point will be the central car park on the west side of the road at Ambersham Common. Parking will be available in all three car parking areas. Remember not to leave valueables in your car and bring a bottle of water as there are no refreshment stops on route.
This walk is free of charge. If you would like to attend you must book a place and bring a copy of your e-ticket on the day.
