A programme of historical events.
On the first Bank Holiday weekend in May there will be a programme of events across Midhurst including falconry flying displays at Cowdray Heritage, known locally as ‘the Ruins’.
On Saturday 29th April, there will be falconry flying displays with Raven Tor at 12 noon and 2pm at Cowdray Heritage. Other birds will also be on display including owls. There will be guided tours of Cowdray Ruins at 1.00pm.
In the Market Square and St Anne’s Hill, there will be historical crafts and demonstrations, have-a-go corn dolly making, archery talks, weaving, embroidery and nail binding.
On Sunday 30th April, Cowdray Ruins is hosting an 18th century Smugglers’ Day with Raven Tor. This is a historical reenactment involving smugglers and pirates.
On Bank Holiday Monday, Cowdray Heritage will be open for visits.
Opening times for Cowdray Heritage on Saturday 29th April, Sunday 30th April and Monday 1st May are 11am to 4pm (last entry at 3pm).
