Exclusive Seasonal Yoga Retreats at Cowdray Hall with 500 hr RYT Yoga and mindfulness teacher Laura Wills and 300 hr RYT and Master practitioner of NLP Nigel Bird

Yoga partnership Laura and Nigel have designed 1 Day Seasonal Yoga retreats being held at Cowdray Hall. Together they facilitate a safe, warm and welcoming retreat space which is a haven for those needing time to reflect, heal or gain guidance through change or transitional periods. The retreat is therapeutic, offering tools and space for spiritual growth and an opportunity for finding ways we can be more harmony with the natural vitality all around us.


9:30am: Meet at Cowdray Hall for opening circle, refreshments and introduction to seasonal yoga
10.00am: Seasonal Yoga and meditation: session 1 ~ ‘Clearing the path and making space’
10:45: Refreshments
11:15: Shamanism Workshop 1
12:30: Vegetarian lunch included
13:30: Seasonal Yoga Nidra (Deep relaxation)
14:30: Walk to local woods
15:00: Seasonal Yoga and meditation: session 2
16:00: Shamanic journey 2
17:00: Grounding, chat, closing ceremony and refreshments before you leave

Seasonal Yoga is inspired by ancient Chinese and Indian health systems, which works in union with Seasons and the cycles of nature. It is a gentle practice for all abilities, specifically designed to send energy flowing through the meridian lines (energy pathways of the body).

Autumn is a special time as we move to the Yin time of year and learn to let go a little. We aim to improve lung function through Pranayama (breath work) whilst also learning to align movement with the breath. We will dive deeply into some Yin Yoga and share Qigong exercises used for centuries to open up the meridians and balance the our organs. These affect us physically, energetically, emotionally and mentally.

In our mindfulness we explore the subtle yet powerful tool of the breath to help us anchor an over active mind and bring us more deeply into the present moment. We will be offering tools to help you take mindfulness into your everyday activities, so you remain centered and calm even when challenged by life’s fluctuations.

During our Shamanic workshops we will be honouring our inner world and the souls journey, our ancestral lines and the creative journey forward. Shamanism is all about working with nature and the seasons, utilising the energy field that pervades all things in a way that disregards linear time and seeks to regain information and insight, harnessing the ability to span time, to gain meaning to our spirits and heart’s purpose!
