Women’s Red Tent Circle
Inspired by Anita Diamant’s book ‘The Red Tent’, women are gathering as sisters, mothers, daughters, grandmothers and friends to reconnect with themselves as women.
The next evening takes place from 7pm to 9pm on Friday 13th July.
The aim of the event is to celebrate, to share food, to learn to support themselves and one another as they go through life’s triumphs and disasters. This is a gathering for women to rest, to listen and to be heard. Within the circle of the red tent we are all met with kindness and respect.
The Red Tent is a global movement, nondenominational and open to all women.
As the author Judith Duerk said: “How would your life be different if there had been a place for you, a place for you to go to, a place for women to go, to be, to return to, as women? How might your life be different?”
Each month we meet on or around the new moon in the Meeting Room of Cowdray Hall for which a donation of £8 to £12 is requested. The next meetings take place after the summer on 12th October, 9th November and 7th December.
