Meet Your Acupuncturist
Paula Macklin Creasy
(Lic.Ac. Dip.China Master NLP Practitioner)
My journey into acupuncture began with a deeply personal experience. After watching my mother live with cancer for 10 years, I felt drawn to a system of medicine focused on wellness and prevention. Originally training as a veterinary nurse, I changed paths and pursued acupuncture, a practice that has been enhancing health for thousands of years.
I began my studies in China at the age of 19, gaining hands-on experience in hospitals with expert mentors. After traveling across Asia, Australia, and Africa, I completed my acupuncture training in the UK and have been dedicated to helping people feel their best ever since.
What to Expect from Your Treatment
Acupuncture is more than just placing needles in acupuncture points, it’s about treating the whole person. Each session starts with a conversation about your health, lifestyle, diet and medical history. By taking pulses, looking at the tongue and palpating the energy channels, I develop a treatment plan tailored to you. The needles used are ultra-fine, and while you may feel a slight tingling sensation, most people find the experience deeply relaxing.
Conditions Acupuncture Can Help With
Acupuncture doesn’t just treat symptoms, it helps look for the root cause, to restore balance and therefore health within the body. Patients visit me for a variety of concerns, including:
- Muscle tension & pain relief
- Stress, anxiety & fatigue
- Digestive issues & gut health
- Hormonal imbalances & fertility support
- Allergies & immune support
- General well-being & preventative care
I practice an integrative approach, working alongside conventional medicine to ensure the best outcomes for my patients. If needed, I can also refer to trusted colleagues in different areas of holistic health who I work closely with at Cowdray Therapy Rooms.
