Cowdray Events Ltd is seeking a Head Chef to report directly to the Managing Director of Events & Hospitality this is a key position within the Events team. 

The Head Chef is a senior leadership position responsible for the strategic, operational, and creative direction of all culinary services delivered by The Yellow Kitchen, the Estate’s internal catering company. This role is very much hands on and oversees food operations across the events enterprises, including Cowdray House, The Walled Garden wedding and events venue, Cowdray golf clubhouse, and all internal staff and private catering. 

The Head Chef will lead a multi-site kitchen team, uphold exceptional standards of food quality and service and contribute to the Estate’s reputation for excellence in hospitality and guest experience.

A home base within reasonable commuting distance is therefore to be suggested, due to responsibilities outside normal working hours. 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • The successful candidate will possess proven record working in five-star hospitality and will have led Chef teams successfully 
  •  They will have worked in the hospitality, hotel or luxury sector and must be charismatic, inspirational, and commercially minded. They will communicate effectively and possess excellent relationship management skills across all stakeholders. 
  • They will be financially astute and able to understand the reporting required to deliver a high-end catering business as well as possessing the ability to deliver results within a framework of exacting standards.

  • Experienced in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
