The Estate is steeped in history and heritage. It contains the ruins of one of England most important early Tudor Houses and is the home of British Polo. There is also our award-winning Farm Shop & Café, a championship Golf Course, Holiday Accommodation, Wellbeing Centre and Cowdray House, a luxury event venue which sit alongside the more traditional estate activities including farming, forestry and deer management.

The role:

You will be responsible for helping to support and have responsibility for:

  • Measuring the company’s financial performance based on financial records
  • Processing financial data and assist in the creation of monthly and quarterly accounting reports
  • Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Analyse financial information to help make informed business decisions
  • Assisting in the preparation of yearly budgets and rolling forecasts where necessary
  • Create and maintain payroll models
  • Identifying problem areas and help improve processes
  • Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers
  • Supporting Senior Finance Manager and Assistant Accountant with ad hoc tasks where required

About you:

  • Enjoy working within an estates environment.
  • Part-qualified or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within a management accountant role.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and have proven knowledge of financial tools
  • Have the ability to work well in a team
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet and accounting software programs
  • Organisational skills
  • Good personal interaction skills
