MEET OUR SUPPLIERS SERIES | Near and Far

Can you tell us a little about your business and what stands you apart from your competitors?
Near and Far Mobile Bar is a family-run, award-winning mobile bar specialising in beautifully curated drinks experiences for weddings. What truly sets us apart is our attention to detail and our people-first approach. We started the business after planning our own wedding, so we genuinely understand the journey our couples are on and just how important great, reliable suppliers are.
From the very beginning, we offer clear, transparent communication — from initial enquiry right through to the wedding day — ensuring our clients feel supported and confident throughout the process. We want booking your bar to feel like a fun and exciting part of wedding planning, which is why we offer a complimentary tasting at our speakeasy bar ahead of the big day. This allows couples to sample their chosen cocktails and wines, while giving us the opportunity to get to know their preferences and what matters most to them.
We pride ourselves on exceptional service, premium ingredients and creating a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where guests feel genuinely looked after — not just served.
Q:What has been your favourite event you’ve been a part of at The Walled Garden?
A: It’s hard to choose just one, but our favourite events at The Walled Garden are always those where couples fully embrace the space — relaxed timelines, guests enjoying the gardens, and a genuine sense of celebration flowing effortlessly from day to night.
One standout event for us was Keith and Steph’s wedding in 2025. We loved how thoughtfully they used every part of the venue. Pre-ceremony drinks were enjoyed in the gardens, followed by a ceremony beneath the pergola. Welcome drinks were then served on the patio via Clever Mike, our vintage bike bar, before guests dined outside under a stunning stretch tent. Cocktail hour took place on the lawns and featured a show-stopping, Elton John–themed cocktail tower.
As the evening continued, the celebrations moved indoors with a live band and our bar taking centre stage to keep the party atmosphere going. With so many personal touches throughout the day, it was truly a magical event and a joy to be part of.
Q: What do you love most about working at The Walled Garden?
A: The setting is undeniably beautiful, but what truly makes The Walled Garden special is the team behind it. It’s a pleasure to work alongside people who are organised, supportive and genuinely invested in delivering an exceptional experience for both couples and suppliers. The day always runs smoothly, which allows us to focus on what we do best — creating memorable drinks moments that guests love.
Q: What would be your top tip for a couple getting married at The Walled Garden?
A: Trust the space and let it shine. The Walled Garden is beautiful in its own right, so there’s no need to overdo it. Plan moments that allow you and your guests to truly enjoy the venue and its gardens — whether that’s a relaxed drinks reception, lawn games, golden-hour cocktails or even evening fireworks. Taking the time to soak it all in will make the day feel effortlessly special.
Q: What advice would you give to a supplier working their first event at The Walled Garden?
A: Arrive prepared, communicate clearly and enjoy it. The team at The Walled Garden are fantastic to work with and always happy to help, so don’t be afraid to ask questions in advance. Respect the space, be flexible, and you’ll quickly see why we love the venue so much!
