Cowdray Polo Academy pride themselves in teaching all ages, although we suggest that 8yrs is young enough to start. We also teach all abilities, from non-riders to those who are comfortable in the saddle or even experienced on the polo field. Polo ponies are patient and steady and we hope you will join us for a lesson this season.

Corporate Days

Corporate days are great team building exercises. Every corporate day is bespoke, please apply for prices. We can offer just one hour to a week on horseback. You may wish to include a gourmet, pitch side lunch, whilst an exhilarating game is played in front of your guests. We can offer Gold Cup spectating at the height of the season. Personalised marquees and team shirts ensure an unforgettable day.

Experiences & Gift Vouchers

We offer half (three hour) and full (five hour) discovery sessions. Introductory sessions to the sport include a variety of aspects of polo, including stick work, learning to ride ‘polo style’ and stick and balling - guaranteed to enthuse non-riders and riders alike.

CPPCA vouchers make excellent presents for any occasion.

Useful information

Clients should arrive ready to play polo, wearing comfortable clothing.  Jeans or jodhpurs are ideal, with riding boots, or shoes with a small heel.  Riding hats and polo sticks can be provided if necessary.

In the interest of polo pony welfare, we request that clients weigh no more than 14 stone.

We run a 48hr cancellation policy, the instructor will take a sensible view on the unpredictable English weather. The full fee is charged for lessons when less notice is given.

    Please follow these instructions carefully for the final part of your journey

    Once you have turned onto King’s Drive, continue for 0.2 of a mile, before turning right into Madam’s Farm.  The drive will lead you into the polo yard.  Please park in front of the Club House, situated straight ahead as you enter the yard.
