Perfect for weekend and mid-week escapes, The Lodge Bed & Breakfast provides an ideal base for stylish countryside getaways. 

Originally the old golf clubhouse, the 18th-century building has been converted into attractive bed-and-breakfast accommodation overlooking the Estate’s polo grounds, 18-hole championship golf course and the famous Cowdray Ruins. The Farm Shop, Café and Cowdray Lifestyle shops are within easy reach as is Cowdray Hall, making it the perfect place to stay for those enjoying wellness retreats on the Estate. It is also ideal for those enjoying the polo, playing golf or just wanting a countryside stay.

The newly renovated Lodge has seven ensuite bedrooms. Named after avenues of trees which feature on the nearby John Cowdray Arboretum, the rooms have soft, modern décor which fits with its natural setting.  The Lodge consists of the Oak suite, which has a double room and a twin room, and the Beech Suite, with a double bedroom plus a separate sitting room. There are also four double bedrooms – Cherry, Maple, Rowan and Birch. All have ensuite bathrooms. 

A stone’s throw away sits the romantic Willow, which is essentially a separate little property opposite the main lodge, designed as a romantic hideaway for two. With a king size bed and roll top bath, the Willow has beautiful views overlooking the polo fields. The Willow has a private, atmospheric feel, perfect for a special occasion.

The Lodge is close to Benbow Pond and an array of footpaths and walks including the Queen Elizabeth Oak loop which passes one of Britains’s largest sessile oaks, as well as The Lady in Waiting, another ancient oak, and the Jubilee Lime Avenue. The Lodge’s connection to nature and trees has been reflected in the name of the rooms.

With capacity for 16 visitors, guests staying at The Lodge receive complimentary breakfast served in the nearby clubhouse. All the newly designed rooms are equipped with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay.
