With two wedding venues at the heart of the Estate, Cowdray has something for every couple to consider for their perfect wedding day. To find out more about being a supplier at The Walled Garden, we caught up with Phoebe Hindson, Events Manager at Firebird Events Ltd to answer some questions.
The Firebird Events Team:

Q:What has been your favourite event you’ve been a part of at The Walled Garden?
A: One of my favourite events was a wedding where the couple chose to celebrate outdoors in a marquee, fully embracing the beauty of the setting. We installed atmospheric outdoor lighting to compliment the space, but the standout detail was framing the marquee canopy to highlight a stunning dream mirror. It became a real focal point, both elegant and playful and added a touch of magic to the evening.
Q:What do you love most about working at The Walled Garden?
A: The natural beauty of The Walled Garden makes it so special. It’s full of character and the surroundings, and atmosphere speak for themselves. That simplicity gives every couple the freedom to truly make it their own, adding personal touches that feel meaningful rather than over-styled. No two celebrations are ever the same, and watching each couple transform the space in their own way is always a joy.
Q:What would be your top tip for a couple getting married at The Walled Garden?
A: The Walled Garden is a beautiful hidden gem, and our top tip is to really think about the flow of the day – how each moment moves seamlessly between the indoor spaces and the gardens. By planning with that journey in mind, every detail can be thoughtfully considered, from ceremony styling and transitions, to atmospheric lighting as the day turns to evening, and entertainment that brings the celebration to life.
Q:What advice would you give to a supplier working their first event at The Walled Garden?
A:This is a tricky one, as we’re fortunate to have a long-standing, close working relationship with The Walled Garden and know the space extremely well. That said, as with any event, communication is key. One of the most important things is to double-check timings when you arrive on site, as schedules can naturally shift throughout the day. Taking a moment to get your bearings, understand how the event is running, and touch base with the wider team helps everything flow smoothly and sets you up for a successful, stress-free setup.
Q:Can you tell us a little about your business and what stands you apart from your competitors?
A: We pride ourselves on being a ‘one-stop shop’ for weddings, taking the stress out of planning, by bringing everything together under one roof. From AV, lighting, and dance floors to games, entertainment, DJs, and live bands, we offer a seamless service that allows couples to focus on enjoying their day rather than juggling multiple suppliers. What really sets us apart is our attention to detail and the way we tailor each element to suit the couple and the space – creating celebrations that feel effortless, cohesive, and personal.
