Spring has sprung!<\/p>\n
It looked and smelt like spring had sprung in Buck Hall last week when guests of Rhubarb Food<\/a> were welcomed for an overnight stay at Cowdray House<\/a>.\u00a0The most stunning floral designs by Mary Jane Vaughn\u00a0<\/a>were on display throughout the reception rooms and set the tone perfectly for the evening ahead.<\/p>\n The experience began with The Dog and Duck Show which was organised by Firebird Events<\/a>\u00a0and led to much laughter from guests as they herded the birds around the House<\/a> cricket pitch. Le Chameau<\/a> wellington boots were also available for guests to enjoy throughout their stay. A scrumptious Afternoon Tea followed. Served in the Drawing Room the Rhubarb<\/a> team excelled themselves with a spread of delicious sweet and savoury treats. Guests were later shown to one of their individually designed, luxurious bedrooms<\/a> before changing into evening wear ready for the champagne reception where delicious canapes were served.<\/p>\n An exceptional four-course dinner<\/a> was enjoyed by all. The menu consisted of La Latteria burrata to start, Isle of Mull langoustine with braised oxtail and parmesan risotto, a main course of Cumbria lamb saddle served with yoghurt and pea puree, pommes Anna rainbow chard and pickled golden beets and \u2018The Cracked Egg\u2019 to finish; a coconut foam, mango sphere gel, coconut tapioca, coconut and lime sorbet with fresh mango.<\/p>\n Fabulous live music from Empire band<\/a>\u00a0followed in the Morning Room<\/a> where Espresso Martini\u2019s and petit fours were on offer for all to enjoy well into the night.<\/p>\n The following morning in the beautiful wood panelled dining room, a delicious breakfast was served once again by Rhubarb<\/a>.
