Local florist Verdley Flowers to work with the Cowdray Farm Shop<\/p>\n
Local florist Kate Owens who runs Verdley Flowers is now supplying beautiful bunches of natural flowers as well as garden ready plants in recyclable pots, garden pots and herbs to the newly refurbished Cowdray Farm Shop.<\/p>\n
Kate will also be providing floral table arrangements for the Caf\u00e9 and will be responsible for maintaining the planting areas, hanging baskets and flower displays in the courtyard of the Cowdray Farm Shop & Caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n
Prior to her collaboration with the Farm Shop, Kate already has a close affiliation with Cowdray. She lives with her family in a pretty Cowdray Estate cottage in Verdley Wood which her grandmother had previously lived in. Kate moved in 50 years to the day after her grandmother\u2019s lease began.<\/p>\n
After a massive oak tree fell over in the garden, Kate became inspired to follow her dream and transform the rundown vegetable garden into a flourishing flower garden. After a course at Covent Garden Flower Academy, Kate launched Verdley Flowers which is named after the Cowdray-owned Verdley Woods.<\/p>\n
Kate Owens, of Verdley Flowers, said: \u201cI am so excited to work with Cowdray Farm Shop. Flowers will be freshly delivered every day and competitively priced bouquets will be available from the Farm Shop featuring as much as possible flowers from my own garden as well as locally sourced flowers.<\/p>\n
\u201cSpring is a perfect time to launch at the Farm Shop \u2013 my plants and flowers will reflect the local countryside with bunches filled with alliums, peonies, cosmos, dahlias and cornflowers.<\/p>\n
“I have lots of ideas and I hope that customers will get as much pleasure from my flowers and plants as I do.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rupert Titchmarsh, General Manager of the Farm Shop & Caf\u00e9, said: \u201cWe are very excited by this opportunity to work with Verdley Flowers in this our tenth anniversary year. We hope that customers enjoy her beautiful cut flowers and array of herb pots as well as the selection of quality perennial and biennial plants.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Cowdray Farm Shop, which is open seven days a week, has recently reopened after a tenth anniversary upgrade.
