Couples FAQs
Yes - We can sleep up to 56 across the Estate. Located a few minutes away by car are Cowdray Benbow Holiday Cottages (Sleeps up to 13) and The Lodge (Sleeps up to 16). We also have Apsley Cottage (Sleeps up to 4), Challens Yarde (Sleeps up to 8) and Costers Lodge (Sleeps up to 6) as well as four luxury treehouses located a short drive away from The Walled Garden. We request that you contact the council directly to arrange a registrar for your ceremony.
Music and the sale of alcohol must finish at 11:30pm. Carriages are at midnight. We recommend that where possible guests are advised to book their taxis in advance.
Yes - In the gardens, but please make sure that it is natural petals only.
Yes - We welcome children, however, we ask that they are always supervised by a responsible adult.
Yes - We are a dog friendly venue subject to approval. Please discuss this with the events team to find out more.
Yes - We have a Dressing Room upstairs at The Walled Garden that can be used for your party to get ready before the wedding. Please note this is an open area, we recommend one side of the wedding party accommodating this space.
We offer a couple of optional extras to enhance your day. Please speak to the Events Team for more information.
Yes - We have two spacious reception rooms so if the weather is not on your side we have plenty of space to host your full day indoors.
The venue hire fee includes exclusive use of the garden, two reception rooms, and the dressing room. It also includes round tables and chiavari chairs, a sound system for your ceremony, and an event co-ordinator to oversee the day for you.
We take £1000 to secure your date. This is made up of £500 from your venue hire fee, and a £500 refundable damage deposit. The remaining fee balance is split with the first 50% due 6 months before the wedding and the final 50% 3 months before.

Yes - Cars can be left in designated parking areas overnight and must be collected by 10am the next morning. Cars are left at owners risk.
Yes - The ground floor is wheelchair friendly; ramps can be provided upon request. Please speak to a member of our team to find out more about this. We also have an accessible bathroom on the ground floor.
