1. Entrants to The King’s Sandwich Competition must reside within the UK.

2. Entries are welcome to all over the age of 8. For any entrants between the ages of 8–17, we require that a parent or guardian completes the application form on their behalf.

3. There is no entry fee, and no purchase is necessary to enter the competition.

4. Entry is limited to one submission per person. Once an entry has been submitted, it cannot be changed, so please carefully check your entry before clicking ‘send’.

5. Entry is only via the King’s Sandwich Competition web page on the Cowdray Estate website. Entries via post, email or any other means will not be considered.

6. This competition is open to all individuals, families, community groups, school classes and other entities. If entering on behalf of more than one person, one lead entrant must be nominated to submit the entry on behalf of the group.

7. The winner will be notified by email and shall have 48 hours to claim the prize, or another winner will be chosen.

8. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current [UK] data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

9. There are three prize tiers for The King’s Sandwich Competition, which consist of the following:

• First Place: A two-night stay for two in a Treehouse at Cowdray, lunch for two at the Cowdray Farm Shop Café and a Cowdray Hamper. The winning sandwich with the name of the creator will feature on the Farm Shop Café specials menu for the Coronation. This prize cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be swapped for a stay in alternative accommodation at Cowdray Estate, or for any other product or service available in Cowdray Farm Shop, Café, Lifestyle, or anywhere else on the Estate.
• Second Place: A lunch for two at Cowdray Farm Shop Café and a Cowdray Hamper. This prize cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be exchanged for any other product or service available in Cowdray Farm Shop, Café, Lifestyle, or anywhere else on the Estate.
• Third Place: A Cowdray Hamper. This prize cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be exchanged for any other product or service available in Cowdray Farm Shop, Café, Lifestyle, or anywhere else on the Estate.

10. Dates for the winning stay are subject to availability and should be booked before January 2024.

11. The prize is not exchangeable for any other product or service available in Cowdray Farm Shop, Café, Lifestyle, or anywhere else on the Estate.

12. By entering this competition, you relinquish any ownership rights of your submitted recipe and understand that the winning entrant grants complete and exclusive permission to Cowdray Farm Shop Café to use your recipe on their menu.

13. The winning sandwich with the name of the creator will be sold via the Farm Shop Café specials menu for the Coronation. The winner will not be entitled to any proceeds from sales of the winning sandwich sold via the Cowdray Farm Shop Café menu, and accepts that 50p per sandwich sale which will be donated to Cowdray Estate’s designated charity for 2023.

14. The winning entry will be available to buy at Midhurst Town Cup on July 2^nd 2023, sold by the Cowdray Farm Shop Café team. The winner will not be entitled to any proceeds.
