  • Are there customer toilets? 

Yes. There are three portaloos on site, one of which is disabled. They will be checked daily by the onsite team and will be professionally cleaned throughout the week.

  • How long will the maze take to complete?

Depending on the age of children in your group the Maize could take up to an hour to complete. There are emergency exits around the maze should you need to leave at any point. Please refer to the map that you will be given upon arrival to find these.

  • What is the address for the Maize Maze?

The entrance for the Maize Maze if off the A272, opposite Cowdray Golf Club. The event will be signposted with yellow signs en route. What3Words Location: ///commuted.logs.spoons

  • Are there refreshments available to buy? 

Yes, there is a Cowdray shop onsite selling a range of refreshments, including coffee, cake, biscuits etc. Cowdray Farm Shop Café is also a 5-minute walk away and offers a range of hot and cold meals.

  • Are there any baby changing facilities? 

There are not any baby changing facilities on site, but these can be found in the Farm Shop Café toilets which is a short walk away. Please speak to a member of Maize Maze café team who will give you the code for the toilets.

  • How much do tickets cost?

Tickets are £5 per person, with under 3’s free and do not require a ticket. Carers are also free, and do not require a ticket.

  • If I arrive on the day can I pay by cash or card?

We are operating a card only site.

  • I can no longer make it. Can I get a refund? 

Yes, if you decide you no longer want to attend we can offer a refund. Please email marketing@cowdray.co.uk and we will process a refund for you.

If we have to close due to severe weather and you are unable to attend on another day we will be happy to offer a refund. Please email marketing@cowdray.co.uk and we will process a refund for you.

  • Can I bring my dog? 

Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome and must stay on a lead at all times.

  • Can I stay and have a picnic? 

Yes, we encourage you to stay enjoy the area. We also sell an excellent range of picnic items at Cowdray Farm Shop which is a short walk away.

  • Can I take photography? 

Yes; please tag us in all your photos! We love to see and share them. Please tag us on Instagram: @cowdrayestate #CowdrayMaizeMaze

  • What are the dates of event?

We open on Wednesday 9th August and run until 3rd September. We are open every day, subject to weather. In the case of severe weather, we may take the decision to cancel and will contact all guests booked for that day via email to arrange for tickets to be moved to a different day.

  • What are your opening times?

We are open from 10am – 4pm. Last entry is 3pm.

  • Is the site disabled access friendly? 

The paths of the maze are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and pushchairs, however, please be aware that the ground consists of mud with no hardstanding, so therefore can be uneven in places and on a slope. If it rains, the ground may become muddy, so access to the path may become difficult for wheelchairs and pushchairs at these times.

  • Who can I contact if I have a ticket enquiry?

  • What happens if it rains? 

Due to the nature of the paths of the Maize Maze it’s likely that we will have to close if we experience heavy rain. This is also to protect the car park for future days. If we make this decision, we will send out a notification the night before the event via social media and on email to those booked in. We will give guests the option initially to move their booking to a different day, and following that a refund.

  • What is the maize and sunflowers used for? 

Maize is a tall crop that will grow to approx. 6ft tall and is very closely related to sweetcorn. It is harvested whole, stored and fed to cows over winter. The sunflowers will be harvested for seed if there are any left at the end of the event.

  • What else can I do during my visit? 

Cowdray Farm Shop is 5-minute walk away and Cowdray Ruins is approx. 15-minute walk away. Please ask our friendly team on-site for directions.

  • There’s a public right of way across the car park – will this still be open?  

Yes, we have not closed it and so the PRoW will be accessible at all times. This will be accessible at all time and alternative route to avoid the car park will also be available.
