Cowdray Winter Newsletter 2020

Cowdray Winter Newsletter 2020

This year has been incredibly difficult for businesses and individuals alike. While the Estate has faced immense challenges, the Winter Newsletter 2020 is a chance to celebrate how Cowdray’s businesses have adapted to the current climate as well as an opportunity to give a brief insight into life on a busy country estate.

Estate photographer Tom Bunning describes how passionately he feels about capturing the West Sussex countryside on camera. The picture above was taken by Tom at Benbow Pond. Other articles include how the Farm Shop has stayed open throughout Covid-19 with the team implementing new initiatives such as a local delivery service and an option to click and collect, which has been welcomed by the local community.

The newsletter features a personal account of what makes learning to play polo at Cowdray so special and a question and answer interview with Tim Dummer – a bricklayer within the Works team, who has spent 50 years working on the Estate. Local historian Tania Pons also looks back at the history of two walking areas around Midhurst.

We hope you enjoy reading it.
