Winter Newsletter

The Cowdray Winter Newsletter 2019/20 is out.

It’s available to pick up from locations across the Estate, including the Farm Shop, Cafe and the Golf Club.  A recent photo of Lord and Lady Cowdray with their dogs features on the front cover.

The lead article is entitled ‘Why Yellow?’, a question we are all asked frequently. Historically the colour has represented the link of the 1st and 2nd Viscounts’ roles as Liberal MP’s. Today it represents a sense of place – a colour which is intrinsically linked to the Cowdray Estate, its buildings and branding. The article goes on to explain how the Estate continues to evolve whilst facing challenges and ultimately delivering the three core objectives of our social, environmental and commercial responsibilities. Each are of equal importance but none can exist on their own.

Other features include an article about Cowdray as a major employer locally and five of the managers who make up the team. Property Manager, Lauren Cleghorn, Polo Manager, Chris Bethell, Farm Shop & Cafe General Manager, Rupert Titchmarsh, Farm Manager David Ullyott and Marketing Manager, Sally Blackburn all chose their favourite places on the Estate and their favourite products to buy from the Farm Shop.

There are also articles about Richard Comber who is celebrating 50 years farming at Manor Farm, Heyshott and Cowdray Living which is filled with unique gift ideas.
