New Farm Manager

Cowdray welcomes new Farm Manager

Cowdray are delighted to announce the appointment of David Ullyott as their new Farm Manager. He will oversee the extensive farming activity across the Cowdray Estate which includes a dairy and a beef herd together with 3,000 acres of arable crops.

David is married with three children and was previously employed on a family owned estate in Wiltshire where he managed a mixed arable and livestock farm.

At Cowdray, David and his team manage the arable cropping, a 300-cow dairy herd and beef animals, which supply the Cowdray Farm Shop. The arable cropping consists of wheat, malting and barley, oilseed rape, maize and spring beans.

David Ullyott said: “I am looking forward to building on the sustainable farming practices already in place on the farm and to continuing the excellent work undertaken by my predecessor. It is very important that great care is taken of soil health, animal welfare and crop management.

“The farm will continue to develop closer ties with the Farm Shop and our other catering outlets enabling these businesses to showcase a variety of food sourced and produced on the Cowdray Estate.”
