Chanting and Toning with Caroline Shakerley

Cowdray Hall

Chanting is sung meditation and sung prayer. It stills the mind, softens the heart and aligns us to our soul.

Chanting is a very powerful practice that helps to stabilise our central nervous system and stimulate the vagus nerve – the key nerve responsible for health and well being in body and mind. The Sanskrit words in chanting are called ‘Words of Power.’ They help to dissolve fear and negative feelings and thoughts, while aligning us to our soul’s purpose and deepest heart’s desires. Toning and Chanting send harmonising vibrations through our physical and energy bodies and out into the world. It is a potent practice during these changing and challenging times.

Chanting is multi directional and multi dimensional. Used wisely, it can amplify your intentions for yourself, your loved ones and for the benefit of all Beings. It also aids in the gentle release of emotions. It softens the heart and allows us to express, though singing, that which is often unspoken. Participants often say that chanting, toning and free voice, (optional), is more powerful than any of their other practices.

Caroline is a very experienced facilitator, who has been holding chanting groups since 1999. Her style is warm and accessible. She loves to see people thrive and blossom into all they can be.

‘This is the best hour of my week – nothing awakens my soul quite like chanting!’ Emma Plunkett

‘Wonderful, amazing experience – I will never stop doing this!’ Jenny Simmons

No singing experience is necessary. There is an African saying – ‘If you can walk, you can dance – if you can talk, you can sing!’

Everyone is warmly welcome. To book, please email Caroline at ambersham@hotmail.co.uk
