Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course

Sandrine Cranswick is running a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course at Cowdray Hall starting on Tuesday 8th May.

Duration: 8 Week MBSR course + orientation session

Date: 8 May to 3 July on Tuesdays 7pm to 9pm and all day on Saturday 23 June 2018

Location: Cowdray Hall (Chapel), Parkway, Easebourne, Midhurst GU29 0AW, West Sussex

Fee: £250 including all sessions, 5 recordings of guided mindfulness practices and a workbook
The MBSR course is based on the original programme of Jon Kabat-Zinn PhD, with added elements of MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, co-developed by Professor Mark Williams of Oxford University). These ‘Mindfulness-Based Courses’ are recommended by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care excellence)

This programme is evidence-based with a coherent structure for anyone caring about their physical and mental wellbeing. Sandrine’s course is limited to 8 participants; to create a safe and friendly group dynamic, to have more space in the room and give individual attention during and between classes.

Throughout the eight week course participants will learn and explore:

Scientific researchers have proven the benefits of practicing mindfulness and meditation including: stress and anxiety reduction – coping better with physical pain and illnesses – better sleep – reduction of high blood pressure – strengthening the immune system – greater appreciation of life and of the present moment – Increased compassion for oneself and others – Greater clarity of mind, concentration, work efficiency and better communication.

This course is facilitated by Sandrine Cranswick, an experienced mindfulness teacher with over 25 years of meditation practice. Sandrine has completed her teacher training with the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University and is registered on the UK Network for Mindfulness Teachers.
